Dauphin, Manitoba – Progressive Conservative MLAs Brad Michaleski (Dauphin), Rick Wowchuk (Swan River) and Greg Nesbitt (Riding Mountain) are pleased with the announcement that the Government of Manitoba will proceed with a new MRI to be located in Dauphin. The announcement was made earlier today by MLA Michaleski and Health, Seniors and Active Living Minister Kelvin Goertzen.
“I have been advocating for the Dauphin MRI since being elected as MLA,” said Michaleski. “I am pleased that our government has made the decision to go ahead with this important project for Dauphin and the Parkland region.”
“This is great news for the people of Swan River and northwestern Manitoba,” added Wowchuk. “Once operational, people in our region will have access to an MRI without having to travel all the way to Brandon or Winnipeg.”
“The new MRI in Dauphin will be a real benefit to my constituents,” said Nesbitt. “Having access to this important diagnostic service in our region demonstrates our commitment to ensuring Manitobans can get the right care, at the right time, in the right place.”
The new Dauphin MRI is currently being assembled and will be housed in a purpose-built facility at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
