Had a great tour to the George Lake Shack on Monday.  Great opportunity to meet new friends and see the great job the guys from Childs Lake did to make  it cozy and a place to warm up.  The poplar from Riehl’s logging make those inside walls look awesome.

FEBRUARY 25, 2018 SLEDDING IN THE NORTH MOUNTAIN

No doubt, the North Mountain Riders dedication and commitment to grooming the trails in the North Mountain (Porcupine Provincial Forest) was a testament today by providing some of the top riding trails in the Province. FEBRUARY 25, 2018 – BIRCH RIVER CANYON AND BACK TO BELLSITE

There is no doubt the Faye Corbett Memorial warm up shelter overlooking the beautiful Birch River Canyon is one of the most scenic stops.  Congratulations to the Bellsite Community Club and all their volunteers for organizing another First Class Poker Derby.  The 78 miles of groomed scenic trail was awesome. Everyone was treated to a great home cooked meal when they returned to the Community Centre and the lucky ones won some great prizes.  Great Partnerships make great things happen…

MARCH 3, 2018 VIVIAN RASMUSSEN CELEBRATES HER 94TH BIRTHDAY

Congratulations to Vivian Rasmussen who celebrated her 94th birthday today. I was really honoured to join Vivian and her family and enjoy a piece of delicious birthday cake.  Vivian was a driver for the military during World War II and was posted in Newfoundland which at that time was considered overseas. Thank you Vivian for your service and congratulations on this very special day.
