About Josh Guenter

Josh Guenter was elected as the MLA for Borderland in 2019. Only 25 at the time, he was the youngest-ever PC MLA to get elected. Josh was re-elected to a second term in 2023.

Josh was born in Altona and lives in the area with his wife Alicia and their young son, Jackson. As a father, Josh knows that Borderland families want an MLA who understands their concerns and will work to ensure the area can thrive as a place to live, work, and raise a family.

He has been engaged in politics for a number of years and has played an active role in provincial as well as federal election campaigns. He studied at the University of Ottawa and the University of Manitoba, has worked on Parliament Hill, and has served the people of the region as a constituency assistant to local elected officials.

Josh continues serving the hard-working families of the Borderland constituency as a voice for lower taxes, further investments in communities, and continued improvements to healthcare services in Manitoba.
