Statement from the Opposition Leader on New Manitoba Government
After seven years of PC governance, Wab Kinew and the NDP inherit one of the fastest growing economies in Canada, with a balanced budget and record investments in health care, education, infrastructure, public safety, and affordability for Manitobans.
The new premier and his ministers now have a few short weeks to call and prepare for the fall session of the Legislative Assembly, where they must answer how they plan to deliver and pay for all their lofty election promises. Manitobans have very serious questions, and doubts, about how and whether the NDP can deliver.
As the Official Opposition, our PC MLAs will continue to work diligently to serve our constituents and all Manitobans by holding Wab Kinew and his new government to account, and offering solutions that address the issues facing Manitobans today and into the future.
