Statement from PC Finance Shadow Minister Obby Khan on the NDP Government’s Carbon Tax Flip-Flop
Obby Khan, PC Shadow Minister for Finance, made the following statement today on the NDP government’s carbon tax flip-flop:
“The NDP government’s own finance minister said just last year that ‘suspending the carbon tax would actually cost the average Manitoban money.’ This is the same NDP who, until today, remained pro-carbon tax. Why did it take pressure from all other premiers, the federal NDP, and other provincial NDP parties for Kinew to finally stand up for Manitobans?
“Manitobans expect their leaders to stand up for them no matter what—not just when it’s popular.”
