Statement from PC Natural Resources Critic Rick Wowchuk on Divisive NDP Cuts to Moose Hunting Licences in Northern Manitoba
SWAN RIVER — Swan River MLA Rick Wowchuk, PC Critic for Natural Resources, issued the following statement today on the abrupt changes by NDP natural resources minister Jamie Moses to this year’s moose hunt in northern Manitoba:
“The NDP government has not been transparent or accountable for sudden changes to moose hunting in Manitoba.
“A 75-per-cent cut in licences demands an explanation with supporting data.
“If the NDP minister is prepared to make these changes, he needs to re-engage with all stakeholders and share that data with Manitobans today.”
