Build the Schools. End Hallway Education.
Why this petition matters
Families in Manitoba are asking for new schools to reduce class sizes and educate their kids.
But overcrowded classes, makeshift classrooms, and the current government’s lack of planning and priorities have created “hallway education” in our province.
One of Wab Kinew’s first acts as premiers was cancelling the construction of 9 new schools and thousands of new daycare spaces in some of the fastest-growing communities in Canada—including Winnipeg (Bridgwater, The Maples, Prairie Pointe, Transcona), Brandon, West St. Paul, Neepawa, and Ste. Anne.
It’s time for the premier and education minister to stop ignoring parents, teachers, and students, and build the schools they were promised.
SIGN THE PETITION to call on the Manitoba government to make education a priority and build new schools so Manitoba families and students have the world-class education system they deserve.
